In my compaq cq-62 219wm and it is very easy to switch out the cpu. It took me only 15 min to get it open, in, and on. I put in a t6400 intel core 2 duo but I've found out that you can go up to a T9500 for sure. Just make sure you have yourself a good phillips head 0 magnetic screwdriver, a pretty good memory on where your screws all went and what you unplugged, some rubbing alcohol (to clean out the heat sink {91%}], some q-tips, and some thermal paste (to replace what you cleaned up and on the new cpu) . You will need a flat head screwdriver when you get to the socket to unlock it.
