I have a 5 year old laptop(HP 15-r203TX) with i5 5th gen dualcoreprocessor 4 GB RAM(1600 MHz),1TB HDD upgradable upto 16 GB RAM and 2TB 2.5" SATA SSD.Is it worth to upgrade it with another 8 gb ram and 500 gb sata ssd?

I have visited this site already but whether upgrading this laptop worth it or not ?

you didn't ask that anywhere. that depend on if you want to get a new laptop.

A ssd upgrade will absolutely transform the performance of a laptop.
I have done this many times for lesser laptops than yours.

Buy a samsung 860 evo of sufficient capacity to hold the used contents of your HDD.
Use the ssd migration app to move the C drive to the ssd.

If you do not have a spare sata 2.5" slot, use a usb to sata adapter cable to do the copy.
