hp 3050 deskjet printer

My hp 3050 deskjet printer tries to grab the paper when printing but dosen't get printed it keeps telling me there is a paper jam or the tray is out of paper.

The printer should have an latch to expose the print area. Check for paper in there. You may have to look hard as it could be torn small bits of paper. Lastly try u plugging the printer for 5 minutes to force a retest in case it's stuck on code.
