Question HP 8760w cant get bios to update

Tried the HP assistant. it doesnt even tell me there is a update of anything. I may have all the drives updated ok but the BIOS on the 8760w is like F.01 and I am looking to go up to F.28 so it will run the SSD drive at faster speed.

I have tried and tried. I cant even locate the file for the BIOS ...all I get is the info page.

current Bios is from 2011 and newest is 2018.

thanks. I noticed I had to change to W8 in order to get that to show up.

ive been working on multiple laptops at once so maybe that is why I got numbers wrong. I just know the Bios I have is the original or close to it.

Heads up to anyone else who cares. I couldnt get it to work right by changing OS on fly so what I did was this,.

Loaded a different hard drive on machine and loaded up Windows 7 on it. then after some updates I went to HP and easily it listed newest BIOS for the 8770w. I selected it and it installed it.

then I removed the hard drive and put the old one back in. that was the easiest way and safest way and worked find. I actually have Bios dated 4/2019 now.

i went back and did 2 machines same way.
