But for the typical person, color laser is just fine.
Gotta be honest black and white laser and I'm a happy camper. I bought generic x3 pack of ink carts in 2018 and still on the first one I put in back than. Sometimes I print up a vintage service manual and over the years that adds up the a couple thousand pages.

I will never buy an HP ink jet ever again I remember when that death by date ink jet stuff started and honestly forgot about it till this thread. Sad to see it still lives.

I just had a thought. kind of a pain in the b*** but I used to change the date back on a PC where back in XP days to get service pac 1 to install. All it was, the computer had date wise aged past some cutoff that the service pac needed to move forward.

Could some one with the death by date HP ink disconnect from internet. Change the date back where the ink thinks it's in the proper time to still be valid ? Or does the ink have a independent self destruct timer kind of thing. Just thinking out loud.
