HP Deskjet 1220C driver problems

Hello,

I have an HP Deskjet 1220C printer connected to my PC running Windows XP. My laptop is running Windows 7 64-bit. When I connect the printer directly to the laptop Windows Update finds and installs the driver, no problems. However, when I connect to the printer over the network, Windows Update fails to install a driver. Please help!

I'm assuming the printer is hooked up to your desktop? In which case, goto HP's site and download the drivers for Win 7 64bit on your laptop and try again. Just because one OS is finding the drivers doesn't mean it should work on another..

By over the network do you mean you share it on the XP system? Try this:
