Question HP desktop not detecting RAM - help please

Hello,

I tried to replace the RAM in my HP pavilion desktop.... but now it's not detecting them.

The fans start up and it sounds like its about to boot normally, but then 5 beeps occur - three long, two short. I've looked it up and saw that it is related to a memory failure/undetected RAM.

the module I'm using is brand new and compatible with my PC. I've tried reseating it, but nothing appears to do the trick. Please help!

Hi there! I really need some help sorting out this major problem of mine. My computer is an HP Pavilion desktop It came out of nowhere yesterday evening. A black screen will appear, along with the HP logo and "Preparing automatic repairs..." loading up below it. It never gets anywhere...
