HP DVD Writer1260D

i recently noticed that the above mentioned driver has a yellow exclamation point over it. So it's not working anymore apparently. I've contacted HP, and searched hi and lo for a way to get this particular driver working! There are no answers anywhere. I have noticed that this has happened to many people. There are no updates for this driver that i could find. I have un-installed it, re-installed it, rolled it back, and tried to update it, no luck. The yellow exclamation point is still there. Please help, thank you.

Does the drive do everything you need it to do? If so, then ignore the yellow exclamation point!

Not sure really. I believe it's for writing or burning cd's + dvd's but i havent had a chance to try it yet. Thanks.
