Those are PLS panels - Samsungs - not true IPS LG panels. Plus all PLS panels darken very noticeably when overclocked meaning you are doing something to the TCON and panel.

And the fact that it is PLS is bad? :\ Better than TN.

Not in and of itself. PLS panels just don't overclock well colorwise making them second fiddle to IPS panels. That is why they are bad for OCing. Other than that I am sure they are fine and agree definitely a leg up over TN panels.

Care to explain then how most X-Star buyers have EASILY overclocked to 120hz with great colors and response? Do some research before you go around saying such things. The X-Star is the preferred panel for overclocking next to the Qnix, which ALSO happens to be a Samsung PLS panel... Get your facts straight.

Actually I have my facts straight and have an XStar AND QNIX with both getting noticeably darker upon an OC. I also have 2 2B cats from the original releases in late 2011. I know what I am talking about as a direct user/owner.

You apparently have no direct knowledge or clue. There are plenty of reports that the colors saturate horribly once overclocked. Both PLS panels did this pretty clearly while my IPS panels never have.

And if you could take some reading comprehension classes you would note I never said they do not overclock easily - I never said anything related to the OC - only the color reproduction and clarity at an OC. Get your facts straight and read my comments. Oh and maybe have some direct knowledge before spouting off a clearly incorrect opinion.
