Question HP ENVY X360 15.6" Laptop Upgradable?

Hi,

I was wondering if this variant of the HP ENVY X360 is upgradable? Meaning that I can upgrade the ram and SSD of it. I've been searching everywhere online, but it seems like no one has this specific variant and even if they do, they do not cover this topic. If anyone could help me out, that would be great.

According to this service manual, the 2 in 1 can be upgraded. You can max the ram to 16GB. As for the SSD, the SSD bundled with the convertible is a M.2 PCIe based 256GB SSD. Your mileage might vary if you try to upgrade the SSD to a larger capacity.

As much as I want to believe that you're right, I think that the manual is made for a different model. I'm looking at completely different model. Or at least it looks like to be a different model. Either way, it's okay. I think I'm just going to pay the extra money to get the 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD option.

HP ENVY X360 is the series. Your variant as shown in the Amazon link, may not be RAM upgradable, but SSD upgradable. You may want to verify the specs based on model number. To find out the model number, just enter your HP Serial number (S/N) in HP Warranty page: https://support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Or the product number in google, you will be able to see the exact model number, and then find relevant memory upgrades.

For memory upgrades, try crucial.com or memorystock.com

Well so I do not currently have the HP computer. I haven't bought it yet. I'm just wondering if there's a way to check ahead of time. But it seems like you know what you're talking about. I hope that the RAM is upgradeable, but I suppose it wouldn't be a big deal.
