I've bought a laptop from a friend and i have a few questions about it.
1. The bios is password locked, and neither he or i know the password, after incorrectly guessing the password on 3 occasions it gave me a numerical locked down code or sorts therefore i cannot get into the bios.. On a PC i'd reset using the cmos, but i'm not sure how to do this on a laptop - any ideas?
2. The max memory is 4GB - it has 3GB at the moment, would upgrading the ram improve load times / overall performance? i use Windows 10 - i only use this as a HTPC alternative for watching movies and web browsing on the main TV in the living room. Specs: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02433086
i would assume i need to remove the 1GB dimm and replace it with a 2GB dimm, but which specs do i need to buy ?
heres the detail of whats currently inside the laptop
