Question HP incompatible print cartridge error !

I have a HP 2545 all in one ink advantage inkjet printer. I did't use it for 4-5 months..now i'm getting incompatible print cartridge - black error ! This error is only showing for the black cartridge ! The color one is working . Things i did so far

1. reseated the cartridge
2. Cleaned the contact points of the printer and the cartridge's circuit with a wet cloth .

None of them worked ! Do i need to buy a new cartridge ?

PS- its a HP original compatible 678 cartridge.
It had enough ink left (printed only 20-30 pages so far) but i didn't use it for long time.

My thought is that the ink dried out in the cartridge or at least inside the ports.

You can try cleaning the cartridge's ports with denatured alcohol via a cotton swab. No water.

I have replaced the cartridge with a new one ..but the problem still persists ...still showing incompatible cartridge .

Another thought - out of date or corrupted drivers/software.

Run the Diagnostic Tools. Blue banner, upper half, center.

I bought the cartridges from HP's official online store .
I'm using the latest driver . To be sure I have reinstalled the driver twice.
