A pop up tells that " Cartriges listed (tri color) are damaged or have failed. How to troubleshoot this and avoid buying a new one

You should have an option via the utility you installed for the printer, on your system, to help you diagnose the printer's failure. You might also want to inspect the printer's cartridge to see if there is any physical ink buildup.
