HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC
Win 7, 3Gb Ram, Amd turion 2 n530 processor
Hi there. An old laptop from 2011 I have is taking 15 minutes to get through the HP splash logo.
It doesn't matter if it tries to boot up the system from the HD, boot from a pendrive or just load the BIOS config. It takes 10-15 minutes to get past the splash screen.
I even removed the HD and it still takes 10-15 to display the dialog saying there's no primary boot drive. So IT IS NOT THE HDD.
Also I already tried to manually remove the WiFi, the CD/DVD and memory clips. I could not isolate the problem.
After the 15 minutes (if the HD is connected) the system just boot up and works fine. Any clues? Can someone help?
