So I posted this a while ago but I think I posted it in the wrong thread forum: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/hp-mt44-mobile-thin-client-wont-boot.3650419/
and recently I bought an SSD to reinstall windows onto. The first time I tried installing using windows media creation tool and it froze at one point during the "just a moment" screen, so I held down the power button and unplugged the USB which I was installing from, turned the laptop back on, and it finished the install with no problems, and I was able to get to the main windows screen and use the laptop. I turned it off after I looked around a bit to see that it was working properly, and turned it off to see if there would be any further problems.
When I booted it back up the second time, I got to the windows login screen, but no matter what I pressed on my keyboard or mouse, nothing would happen. I couldn't even see the mouse move or anything, so I decided to try to reinstall windows again and downloaded the creation tool again onto my USB. I reinstalled, wiped the previous partitions where I installed last time, and now it gets stuck on the "just a moment" screen again, and now when I try to unplug the USB or turn it off and on again, it gets stuck. I've tried going into the bios and seeing if there was anything that might be interfering, trying going to the CMD and doing the bootrec /fixboot but would eventually get an access denied message. Is there anything I can do, or are the problems just too finicky for me to mess with?
