Question HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 Printing Problem

Why is HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 printing disabled with error message reading: The Printhead appears to be missing, etc.", even though a test print is perfect?

error message is appearing where? if at the printer´s display
clean the print head contacts from the print head and the printer with alcohol or contact spray
eventually faulty head

Thanks for your response! Yes, the error message appears on the printer display. I cleaned the print head contacts and the printer with alcohol, but the error message persists. If it's a "faulty head," why can it still print a good test print page?
