HP Omen 32 (1440p 75hz freesync) which video card?

I am getting one of the HP Omen 32's for a killer deal and wanted to know is it worth going with a Vega 64 card to utilize free sync or go with a GTX 1080? My price range for video card is right around $500.00, so can't afford the 1080 ti. I have read reviews and using Nvidia cards on this monitor, won't allow it to go above 60 hz, using AMD allows it to use the 75 hz.

Also, I am a casual mostly MMO and MOBA gamer, not first person shooters.

For your style of gaming tearing is less of an issue. The 1080 is faster (especially if you turn up the details), runs cooler and uses less electricity. The Vega 64 allows freesync and in your case 75hz. Tough call. I think I'd go for the better card, the 1080.
