I'm attempting a bios update on an HP Pavilion x360 using the guide on HP's website here (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00042629 ) I have reached step 4 part 5 however nothing appears when I plug in the USB and it doesn't give me the option to boot off of it. I'm at the hardware Diagnostics UEFI menu but nothing appears when I plug in the USB and I am honestly at a loss. Any and all help is appreciated.

This is the same computer from a previous post that will not boot into Windows 10 and has displayed some errors in the past. See previous post for details. (page fault in non paged area)

According to the attached link, the USB does nothing, it is the computer that contains the menu. Did you Press the F2 key? The menu from #5 should appear when your press F2. Is it possible you pressed F10, which says bios setup? If so that is the wrong key..

BTW here is a link to your old post. https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/windows-10-blue-screen-on-hp-pavilion-x360.3478033/ Since this is a new computer, why not return it for a warranty service? There is also the fact when trying to load windows on the two hard drives you used the same USB, perhaps the inability to load windows on the two hard drives was a different issue altogether and might have been a bad USB drive.
