Had new Brothers printer installed by computer company; removed old HP printer. It appears they also removed (by accident) by old HP Photosmart Program that I loved. Have emailed them but have not heard anything yet.
When I installed this Program, I think I had Windows 98 or 2000. I now have Windows 7 Home Premium. I have original disk that only shows up to Windows XP. Can I reinstall on my Windows 7 ? I don't think so. How to get old Program back ?
Thanks

I actually have a nephew that lives in Pittsburgh (doctor). It is a nice city, I always enjoy going there.

Be firm with them and return it. It will be okay. They should understand as it is part of doing business. If not, then definitely drop them from any future business.

The whole Program disappeared from my desktop. I am guessing when the old HP printer was removed.

Before it left, I could insert CF card with photos and Program prompted download onto computer. I can still unload photos by inserting CF card in computer, going to "computer", clicking on external drives and photos unload into a File called 100HP318. I can then use a internal Windows Photo Program (ACDS ?) to edit but it is not nearly as good as the old HP Program. Installer recommended Brother Printer - I would have gone with another HP.

Any suggestions are appreciated as is your speedy reply.

Thank You, I bought this printer from the Computer Repair Co. (It was new). I have used this family run business before with good results. This experience, not so much. They sold me the Brother Printer for $159.99 (Amazon had it for $129.99) the TN-660 toner cartridge for 79.99. Amazon had that for $53.99. I thought I would get receipt from their distributor but the receipt was from them. I asked about Warranty and how to register without original receipt. They said any problems would go through them (they charge $85.00 an hour).

I was anxious to be back up and running with the printer and my judgement was not so good. My husband used to do all this stuff. I lost him in March to cancer (they thought he had bronchitis - it was lung cancer). He was only sick for three months. He was healthy, athletic and never smoked. Life isn't fair - is it ?. So, even though I thought I was pretty aware of the pitfalls, I guess I wasn't so smart after all. Anyway, returning it isn't an option so I might just have to limp along with my makeshift way of handling photos.

I am sincerely sorry for your loss.

I would recommend the following, return this printer to the company and request a full refund. Order the printer you want from Amazon or whatever other source you desire. We can help you get it set up (it is quite easy).

This feels too much like you are being taken advantage of.

Thank you so much for your kindness. I don't know how receptive they will be. They have great reviews around here
(Pittsburgh PA area). Thanks for letting me run this by you and offering your opinion. I was feeling a little taken advantage of too. I am not usually one to make a fuss so this is foreign to me but I am not a wallflower either.

I will definitely consider your wise advice. I just have to work up a little stamina to start the process. Thank you for the
nice remarks about my home town ( I live just North of the city). I will be back to let you know what happens.

Thank you again for kindness and generosity.
