HP printer vs Brother printer

there are many model, some low end, high end. what your budget and/or what models are you looking at?

Brother has consistently been the highest rated printer manufacturer for both reliability and customer satisfaction. HP, on the other hand, has been struggling the last few years with both. We have dozens of HPs at work, and have reached the point where we refuse to purchase any more. We have been buying Brothers for the last two years and have had no issues.

Really need to know if this is inkjet or laser.

This is the OP again:
I could go with either an inkjet or a laser. I prefer the inkjet because the first page comes out faster (and I usually only print a page or two). But that's not a deal breaker. I only need black and white, I print mainly documents.

The printer I have right now is an inkjet. It is HP Officejetpro 6830. It is a multi-function, including fax, and it sells for $90 on Amazon. But it breaks down too much.
So I am looking for something to replace it, for around the same price, or maybe up to around $180, if it's worth it.
