Okay so I've spent the last couple of weeks scouring the internet and hopes of finding a solution and none of them have worked I just recently built my first gaming PC and my SSD boot Drive will not run faster than 200 Mbps even though it's supposedly rated at 500 plus I know everything is running in sata 3 and just to make sure I went out and bout a brand new sata 3 cable and it's plugged in to my sata 3 port also I recently switched to ahci instead of ide and it didn't seem to help much any help in resolving this would be AMAZING!

Solution

are you trying to download it from intel website? the version your platform 100% supports is usually included on motherboard drivers webpage
FYI There is no difference between cables for SATA 2 and 3.

As for the steps to resolve the issue, try: 1) updating SSD firmware 2) install Intel RST Driver from you mainboard suppport site

Also, tell us your motherboard model. Are you sure you are using SATA III port?
