Hello Everyone,

I thank you for taking the time for reading this and would appreciate feedback and advice! :)! so that I don't make the wrong decision.

I'm debating on getting a light gaming laptop as a substitution for my already created gaming rig desktop. However I am looking for a small portable laptop that I can carry with me and does not weight too much.

For the laptop mainly i'll be using it to watch movies, play league of legends, and players battleground unknown.

My question is, will this laptop be able to handle those two games with ease as in at least 60FPS or higher without overheating or crashing.

Goals When Looking for Laptop
1. 1k - 1.2k or less ideally
2. Light, Thin, Portable (Just not too bulky)
3. Can Handle the two games nice and smoothly

League of Legends
RECOMMENDED SPECS
3 GHz processor
2 GB of RAM (4 GB of RAM for Windows Vista and higher)
12 GB available hard disk space
Nvidia GeForce 8800/AMD Radeon HD 5670 or equivalent video card (Dedicated GPU with 512MB or higher Video Memory(VRAM))
Support for DirectX v9.0c or better.
Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10 with the latest service pack installed
The latest update to .NET Framework from Microsoft
The latest version of Adobe AIR is required to connect to PVP.net. Adobe AIR is included with all League of Legends setup files, but can also be downloaded from Adobe's website.

Player's Battleground Unknown

Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or better

The Link to the one I am planning on getting is this: (reason for selecting this one is I really love the compactness, design, and portability.

Solution
The native frame rates on the MSI will actually be higher initially , but you can lower the resolution on the Gigabyte to 1080p to get better performance than the MSI and still play on less demanding games like LoL at 1440p.

It (the Gigabyte) performs roughly the same as a desktop with an i5 and GTX 1050Ti if you want to look for benchmarks.

how much do you want to spend?

It will play LoL on low settings, no guarantee of FPS.

It'll give you about 5 FPS on PBGU

that unit is not mean to play video games, you require a discrete graphics solution to play PBGU or anything really with reasonable performance.

I want to spend less then that ideally(about 1k-1.2k) just that I really the thin appearance it gives when you close it.
Things I am looking for is:
Slim Appearance
Weight/Portability
Can handle those two games with ease (but not overkill, if you know what I mean)

Mainly looking for a laptop that's not too heavy and bulky

The gigabyte aero 14/15 will do what you want. The hd 620 isn't meant for anything else but office work and some old or very easy to run games. Even the new ryzen x360 will not run pubg.

I narrowed to these two
MSI GS63 7RD-072CA Stealth Pro Gaming Notebook
15.6" FHD(1920x1080), Intel Core i7-7700HQ(2.80Ghz), 16GB DDR4, 256GB SSD+1TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050 2GB GDDR5, BT 4.1, Windows 10 Pro
