HP TC1100 Reinstalation of XP os

Hi, I picked up a tablet HP TC1100. Would like to use it as a car diagnostic tool.
The software I would like to run is XP only.
I thought I would be fine as there is a Microsoft key decal for windows XP tablet edition .

I have a copy of the windows XP tablet edition 2005 the two disc version.
When installing I get all the way to the product registration. I put in the 25 digit key from the decal
Then I get an error message stating the key is not valid.
How is this possible? I am imputting the key direct from the decal..
Very frustrating.

You probably have a retail Disc for XP, but the sticker on the tablet is likely OEM.
You'll have to get a HP OEM disc or a retail XP Tablet PC 2005 key.
