Greetings. I have a HP z800, latest motherboard revision, latest Bios update. It is the Z800 with 2 Cpu`s, 96 Gb Ram, 2 more HDD drives and 1 SSd bootdrive.

I purchased today an Kingston A2000, and a Pcie to NVME ssd Adapter.

I installed corectly, but I can not see the new SSD at all. Only one notification from Windows, when I reach the desktop, that a Device was not installed corectly.

I checked in BIOS the Load Rom option is Enable, and Compute is Disabled. All is as it should be, except the fact that I can not see at all the new NVME SSD.

I do not need it as a Bootable device for now... I would be happy to see it as an adtional storage drive. I want to use it for Aftereffects Casheing memory.

I mention that I tried all the PCIE slots, including the first one. The drive is powered, but no recognition in desktop.

Any sugestions are most welcome.

Thanks a lot

respect

Solution
Solved, after couple hours of researching.

Installed the latest Intel Drive for Z800 form HP website (the driver found in drivers Storage, version 9.6.0.1014)

After this I found here the 2 hotfixes I needed for Windows 7

https://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/417318-nvme-driver-5.html

in the first page i found the 2 hotfixes, and in the page 5 i found the FIX that allow Windows Updates to still work despite the barierr set by Microsoft.

this is the fix

https://github.com/zeffy/wufuc/releases/tag/v1.0.1.201

So first I installed the intel driver wich after installatin apeared a new program called Intel Rapid Storage Technology

After that I installed the Fix from WUFUC

After that I installed the 2 hotfixes form microsoft...
I must metnion that I have Windows 7 64bit version. AFter some research it seems that I need a NVME Windows FIX for windows 7? A fix that is no more available from Windows webpage?

Many thanks
