HP Zbook Random Shutdown

My friend's computer is suffering from random shutdowns, taking upwards 15 shutdowns before he can even get to the login screen. This also happens occasionally when it gets past this bit it will still just randomly shut down, he insists on the random part. any suggestions?

We would like to know more about this PC.
>The Windows operating system installed.
>Since when are you facing this issue.
>Any recent software or hardware changes done on this PC

If the PC is shutting down before login into Windows, we might be suspecting the issue to be with the power module or the faulty boot sector on hard drive.

>Check with different AC adapter and battery to see if the issue happens.
>Perform hard drive test in the start-up menu,
Power on the PC and tap on F2 key >> Look for component test >> Select Hard Disk >> Perform both Quick test and Extensive test.
