Screw a replacement screen service, give us fucking software updates.
For us down under, we are still waiting for 4.4 on htc one (telstra)... mind you this just makes me more certain I'll never purchase a phone from a carrier again. On another note the durability of the htc one actually made me more careless with it. I've dropped it a countless number of times in a variety of circumstances, always to the disappointment of the Samsung and Apple troops around me. Twelve months of this and a hairline fracture through the middle of the screen suddenly appeared overnight! Needless to say it didn't take long to spread.I'm not saying this shouldn't have happened (I'm more amazed the screen held up this long), but I do wonder just how HTC can 'replace' these screes without a whole refurb?Uh... exactly what update do you want, Android 5.0? HTC is running the current version (4.4) on most of their devices.http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-software-updates/
