APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This weekend

BUDGET RANGE: (e.g.: 600-800) 900

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Movies, Gaming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Monitor, Speakers

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com, would accept others

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: US

PARTS PREFERENCES: No Preference

OVERCLOCKING: No

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1080P

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Prefer the case to be black, does not have to be a HTPC case but I would prefer that it not have LCD's or be Shiny. I would prefer it to run quietly as it will be in the same room as my screen.

I do not need a TV tuner or a blue ray drive.

Expectations for gaming are not super high. I would like to be able to be able to play games in the next few years without any major upgrades on at least medium settings.

The $900 is more of a soft limit. I would prefer to not go too much over but if I will get a reasonable performance increase I would be willing.

I've had my eye on the Silverstone Grandia GD-05 HTPC case. It's large enough to fit full size components but is less than 13" deep and 6" tall (perfect for a home theater rack). Like everything Silverstone, it is extremely well made. The front face is brushed aluminum, not cheap plastic, so that it fits in with high end A/V equipment. Cooling is excellent and quiet with the three included low speed 120mm fans.
