So I built an HTPC last year, that mainly hooks up to my parents' TV and it's experiencing ridiculously slow boot times. Now I checked everything and the motherboard is fully up to date, as is all the firmware for all the hardware in the system. But it can sometimes take several minutes to boot up and I'm trying to pinpoint the problem so I know what to upgrade or replace. Windows is up to date on this machine as well, currently running Windows 10 version 21H2. Again all of the hardware and software drivers are up to date in this machine (motherboard also runs current BIOS version. I'm thinking that the problem is with the boot drive, which is a 512GB Intel 660P. Is that too slow of an M2 boot device or should I look at something faster like a WD SN750 or a Samsung 970 Evo? I've also heard that the problem could be with Windows itself - could it be time for a wipe and reinstall of Windows?

This is the configuration:

Silverstone Raven RVZ-01B
Corsair SF600
Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro mini ITX (BIOS version F60)
AMD Ryzen 5 2600
16GB G Skill Trident Z DDR4-3200
512GB Intel 660P
2TB Western Digital Caviar Blue SSD
XFX Thicc II Radeon RX 5600XT
