Because we live in capitalism and companies are in the game to profit from.
If they want to milk old tech to get the job, they will do it for as long as its viable.

Huawei has always had a bad rep. I remember their name from a Times magazine article and they are known to perform unfair business practices. Not even behind closed doors, they just bluntly do it. But then again, it's China...
