first off I will start off by telling you my specs.
Processor: i7-4790k at 4ghz
GPU: 2x gtx 970 g1 gaming
RAM: 16 gb crucial ballistix sport
mobo: asus z97-a
ssd & hdd with 250gb and 2tb storage capacities

When I look at msi afterburner, realtemp and coretemp while playing the temps look fine, never over 80 averaging on about 75*C

I can play for 10 - 25 minutes until i get less than 20 fps constantly.. I can fix it via restarting gta5
I play gta over 100fps otherwise.
This is the only game this happens in.

What cpu cooler are you using cause they seem high for only 4GHZ.. How are you gpu temps? Is it possible that you are going over 3.5GB of VRAM usage and hitting the slow 0.5GB of VRAM? Maybe use GPU-Z to monitor gpu temps and VRAM while you game and see if your gpu clocks are throttling or you are using over 3.5GB or VRAM.

I am using a hyper 212 evo, it's always running on turbo when I game though, 4.4ghz
I will check vram usage tomorrow but I thought nvidia made the slower vram inaccessible?

Ah if the cpu is running turbo then it is deff not throttling.. No nvidia did not lock off the slow 0.5GB of memory they just made it so it would not be used most of the time. But till you run GPU-z or a program like it and see what is going on when this happens (memory usage, temps, gpu clocks, ect) it is hard to know for sure.

yo G, im having the same problems in game as you and ive been looking at ways of sorting it out because a lot of people have the same problem, your hardware is more than ok to get dank results but it is most likely your drivers, reinstall your gpu drivers with a clean install option then it should be ok. im going to try this when i get home :)
