HWMonitor CPU temp issue

After playing a game for several hours yesterday I noticed in HWMonitor that the CPUTIN reading had maxed out at 117C which is crazy. However, the individual CPU core temp readings had never gotten above 50. I'm wondering if I should even pay attention to the CPUTIN reading because it doesn't seem reliable.

I agree, just trust the individual CPU core temp readings - they will be the hottest thing in your computer (except possibly your GPU)
