Hi, i've just bought hyper 212 evo, i wonder if it's okay to install Coolermaster BC 120mm fan as secondary ? I've heard the fans must be syncronized or something, is that really matter ? What happens if secondary fan runs slower than my cooler's fan, or what happens if secondary fan runs faster than my cooler's fan ?

Solution
I HAD 2 on my 212 and never really saw A diff between 1 or 2 fans..... But if you have a side panel and you get 2 fans with leds in there makes for a pretty light show!
Yeah i like light show 😀 My case is Thermaltake V3, with 6 fans currently and they are all Coolermaster BC. It's not completely quite, but not disturbing too. I even thought replacing the hyper 212's evo with a BC, but i think cooler's original fan is better so for now, i only add it as secondary i think 😀

I'd think the heatsink fin assembly itself is much more restrictive than
any second fan -- regardless of speed. If anything the second, slower
fan would improve performance. At worst, it would have no affect at
all.

If you want two fans in-line with each other, they need to spin opposite directions and have opposite blade pitch. Otherwise you get a very inefficient situation with feedback on airflow.

DrLexus has an interesting point. I wonder why heatsinks that
do have dual fans don't implement this (Noctua DH-14 and DH-15,
the Phanteks PH-TC14PE? Would having counter-rotating fans also
reduce the noise a two fan setup would make? How do you even
find fans that spin clockwise (from the blade side)?

Push/Pull is a total waste with that small radiator on the Hyper 212 EVO. If you do it I would only used a matched set of fans. What I would do if I were you is eventually get a better single fan for the Hyper 212 EVO. I like high static pressure fans.
