hyper evo 212 or H100i cooler for my build

I have the 212 EVO in my I7 4790K not overclocked. I will switch to H110I GT soon.
Why?
Cause in some games like GTA V and CS:GO my temps research 77ºC. The temps for this cpu are safe to 74ºC.

And If you maybe will OC your CPU, you realy need be ready with good cpu cooling.
So I recomend you to ger the H100i.

I run the 212 evo with an i5 4690k @4.3 GHz and temps under full load are about 60-65 degrees celsius. If you plan to overclock significantly more than that i would consider a watercooler otherwise the 212 evo should be fine. Also it's a lot cheaper.

2 things...

Airflow does matter. If you have a good inflow & out flow air in the case, then an air cooling should be a great choice. Plus they have no risk of failure with water on your your precious cpu.

If you want performance, have a dream to be among the top overclocker or at least a decent overclocker then H100i cooler is the path you should take...

If you have no budget restriction, just go for the H100i cooler... if youre just want to overclock around 4.2-4.3 ghz (person who don't want their CPU burn) just go for the 212 evo.

Honestly, since you're using a mid tower case, and aren't looking to burn your cpu with huge o/c I'd suggest the 212 evo. It's a really, really solid cooler (I opine that is the best cooler under 65$) and as long as you maintain good, positive pressure in your case (more intake than exhaust) and are willing to keep it clean and dust free that cooler will handle o/c very well for newer enthusiasts or low to mid level o/c. The h100i will outperform the 212 in airflow restrictive cabinets, or when turning the dial to 11 on your o/c, but it will show very similar temps otherwise.
