Hyperthreading support is related to?

I am planning to buy a new CPU and motherboard for little bit of gaming and performance. So my question is hypertreading support should also be there in motherboard in other words, when we have hyperthreading enable processor for example intel core i3 so should i also need hyperthreading enable motherboard? BTW, i am looking to buy Asus H81M-CS, does this motherboard supports hyperthreading?(if its related to motherboard). And another question is that does this combo sounds good? any AMD that can match this performance at low cost?
Thanks need suggestions(cause of low budget).

Hyperthreading will be supported on all motherboards that support a i3 or i7.

For gaming, intel is better because of better performance per clock.
AMD is a good value only if you run multithreaded apps.
Games typically use only one or two fast cores.

The Motherboard is fine.

What is your budget?

All motherboards that fit the chip support hyperthreading. You don't need to worry about it.
The combo is good for a basic budget/productivity desktop. AMD can offer similar performance for a similar price, but in my opinion, Intel options end up begin better for most people.
 
In the old days, yes, the MoBo also had to have HT support. But now, that's not a problem, HT works on all MoBos.

If you need multitasking or multhreaded workloads, the FX-6300 is actually cheaper than the Haswell i3 CPUs and performs better in general. But consider that it's old hardware on an old platform, the only upgrades available are other FX chips and then you'll have to throw your CPU and MoBo to the garbage (not really).
