Hi all

I'm about to buy new memory for my PC and am wondering if there is any noticeable difference in performance between HyperX Fury 1600Mhz and 1866Mhz memory.
The price difference is a measly 2 Swiss Francs but I read that for Gaming and general multitasking you won't notice any major difference. What I am not sure of is if there are any downsites to a higher mhz frequence but I don't think so.

1600mhz link: https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/hyperx-fury-black-2x-8gb-ddr3-1600-dimm-240-memory-2484103?tagIds=76
1866 mhz link: https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/hyperx-fury-black-2x-8gb-ddr3-1866-dimm-240-memory-2580660?tagIds=76

Or would you recommend another kit from this list? : https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/producttype/memory-2?tagIds=76#f=38491-38501-38512-38507

I'm currently using 2x4GB Kingston HyperX (khx1600c9d3).

Thanks for your advice

Thank you!
Do you think the difference in performance between the Fury and the Vengeance is worth the money(20% difference)?
I don't mind spending more money on something if it really does make a difference.

Received the HyperX Fury RAM today but it runs on 1600mhz instead of 1866mhz.
Tried to manually set the frequency to 1866 which resulted in the system not booting up.

Any idea what this could be?

Oddly enough, I only have "auto" and "manual" in the BIOS, no XMP option.

I tried setting the timings, frequency and voltage manually, resulting in an OC failed error upon startup.
Might have done something wrong (obviously), so please see the screenshots below.

BIOS default settings: http://oi58.tinypic.com/slpaqb.jpg
Changing frequency: http://oi57.tinypic.com/4jtf75.jpg
Changing timings: http://oi61.tinypic.com/v448b4.jpg
Changing voltage: http://oi58.tinypic.com/vg7x8k.jpg

If nothing helps, I'll just leave it...I won't notice much difference anyway.
Still glad if I could get this solved.
