Hello Members,
I have an Asus Vivobook A442U. It has an intel core i5-8250U processor (8th gen, memory support DDR4 2400 MHz max. speed) with 4GB onboard memory (DDR4 2400 MHz). Since the onboard memory is only 4 GB I decided to max out the RAM by adding an 8GB Kingston HyperX Impact stick to it. The memory is now 12 GB but somehow the speed downclocks to 2133 MHz. I am not sure if this laptop supports XMP because last time I checked in BIOS I can't seem to find the XMP setting. Does anyone have any idea how to return the speed to 2400 MHz while having the HyperX Impact stick installed? Thank you
