HyperXfury 1600 and 1866

Hi, I'm currently running two 4gb HyperXfury 4GB 1866 each. Can I add another hyperXfury 8gb 1600 bus stick to this? Will it work without issues if I overclock the 1600s to 1866. Running a Z97 Gigabyte HD-3 Mobo at the moment.

Can try, might play, might not - the Fury run off PnP so they try and set themselves up to the max they can run, if they play at all, it might only be at 1333 or 1600. If they will play, you can try setting them up manually - I'd try at 1600 10-10-10-30 1.55

Can never guarantee that you can oc memory above spec, also can't guarantee that any memory not purchased in same kit will work together. It's possible it will work but no way to know for sure. They make kits as a kit for a reason

Even though the bus speed is the only factor that's different?

No, not all memory works together they test kits to make sure they can all work together at rated specs a lot of times adding a bit of voltage can fix the issues as well.

^^ this is why they sell ram in kits. That is the only way it is guaranteed to work together.
