Plz guys for games lyk witcher 3 and GTA 5 .....wat kind of performance can I accept with this card..don't really HV cash now...will save up first then upgrade processor...
Would it be an improvement over gtx 660 palit paired with that CPU????
Could I play those games at v.high at 1600x900 resolution???.... Tell me guyz....

As I said an i5 or i7 for your motherboard shouldn't be too expensive

Yes ....it is an gtx 660 2gb card....
I have saved up for gtx 970 4 GB...but as I said i have i3 1st gen processor...
Thought of buying this card to play GTA 5 and witchers at high settings ....will I be able to run them at these settings????
As for processors I wanna save up and buy a 4th or 5th gen Intel CPU and maybe even replace motherboard, but in future......what I just wanna know as of now is how much boost in performance would I get going from gtx 660 2 GB to gtx 970 GB Asus string version paired with i3 550........would it be worth it or would it bottleneck i.e limit the GPU a tad too much for these games??????

If you're saving up to replace the cpu then don't worry about bottleneck, just buy the 970 😀

Your gtx 660 gets 38fps average at 1080p / medium
Your i3 isnt benchmarked but it's a litte slower than the i3-2100 so expect 30-35fps

Your current setup is quite balanced. If you upgrade CPU your gpu will hold you back, and if you upgrade GPU your CPU will hold you back.

long story short i did a little testing of my own on gta, with nearly everything cranked up(minus a few AA and having normal textures(due to 2gb of vram) on a 670FTW\4670k i average 75-85fps consistantly, with the gtx 970 outperforming it and having the extra memory headroom you should nearly be maxing gta 5 out at a constant 50-60fps. the game looks a little better than ps4 graphics on normal texture settings but with other things turned up its quite a noticeable difference, runs much smoother than ps4/xbone and the loading times feel like their half

Same FPS because the i3 would hold you back, but you would be playing on much higher settings that's all
