i-7 physical core layout

Prime95 allows user to select which cores to use. I'd like to select the cores that are physically closest to the attached cooler. Which cores in my I7-6800K would that be? 1? 6?

THe i7 68800k has 6 cores that are usable.

And how do you imagine to determine that?
All physical cores are in same depth in cpu crystal.
It is not like 3d v-nand, that has several layers of cells stacked on each other.

Broadwell-E has 10 cores, 4 of which are disabled in the 6800k. The weakest cores are disabled so can be any of them.

The cache is closest to the middle of the cooler.
