I need any one of the following CPU's
-
i5 4690K
i5 5675C (the one with iris pro 6200 gpu)
i5 6600K
Also, will any of their inbuilt gpu's are good enough for running games at 1280 x 1024 resolution .
Which one of these would you recommend to me for gaming as well as some photo editing ??

P.S. - Please also recommend a good cpu config in about Rs.40,000 ($ 600)

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5 GHz Processor Click Here. Rs.18710/-
Motherboard: MSI Z97 GUARD PRO 32GB DDR3 Intel Motherboard Click Here. Rs.9295/-
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Click Here.
SSD: Sandisk SSD Plus 120GB SATA Internal Solid State Drive Click Here. Rs.4205/-
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB Click Here. Rs.3405/-
PSU: Seasonic 620W Power Supply Click Here. Rs 5,940
Case: Cooler Master N200 Mini Tower Click Here. Rs.3745/-

Total: Rs.45,300/-

There you go. A bit over budget, but drop the SSD if you really can't go over Rs 40k. This build can be support anything...
I would pick the i5-4690k. Despite it having iGPU, I don't think you'll be able to game, it's not intended for it...or if you do game, it'll be a few games and at the lowest of the lowest possible resolutions...I think a cheap cheap GPU is worth it, maybe a GTX 750. Any cheap GPU will bith iGPU for gaming any day of the year 😛

I'll build you a PC in a couple of mins, taking my break now 😛

Thanks for the build, But i think i will concentrate more on gaming than anything else. Which processors should i pair with the R9 380 gpu , intel or AMD ?
P.S. - what is the video memory of the gpu you suggested, 4gb or 2gb ?

The i5 4960k costs around Rs. 17,000, and the 6600k around Rs. 20,000. (PS: By CPU config he means a PC build. Indians call the entire PC a CPU.).

For 40,000 you won't be able to build a balanced i5 PC build. Try this instead:

CPU: i3 4150 : Rs 8085
GPU: GTX 960 : Rs 16485
RAM: 1x8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 : Rs 4645
Motherboard: MSI H97M-G43: Rs 7020
PSU: Seasonic Eco Series 400w (80+ Bronze): Rs 2530
HDD: Western Digital Blue 500GB HDD :Rs 3530

Total: Rs 42,295 (Please note you will have to buy windows 8.1 / 7 64-bit separately)

(Copy and paste, they don't work when clicked for some reason. Also prices may have changed a bit, this a build I compiled some time back for another person.).

Also keep in mind with only Rs. 40,000 you won't be able to build a PC that can handle all games on Ultra settings, but this build should get around 45-50 FPS on the most demanding games on High - Very High settings. And no, no Intel iGPU is powerful enough to handle next gen games on decent settings.

Maybe i can push my budget to 50K, then should i put in a i5 4690k??

Unfotunately still no. If you want the 4690k, then you will have to go up to at least 65k, because you will need a Z97 board to overclock it. If budget is a problem, then why not go with the i5 4460? Then you can get an H97 board and save some money. However it will still cost at least 55k, and seeing that you aren't gaming on an HD monitor, it will most probably be fine for most games on very high to ultra settings.

Hi again! I want to ask if intel really is a good choice or amd, as their processors are very cheap and more cored. I Will mostly play fps ( first person shooters) games, on full HD , And Also games like GTA V and assasins creed. I'll rarely do editing and will also do EXperiments!

Didn't know about the PC/CPU thingy, lol.
I'd build the mentioned setup, and yes, if you're not buying a Z97 MoBo there is no point on getting a k-version processor.

I particulary prefer Intel, but I think that's up to each one of us.

OK, :) I'd buy a z97 mobo. Also, i would work without a gpu for some months, then Step up and buy a gpu costing around $ 250 - 300 separately.
So, build should be in this manner for $ 600 and a gpu later ,for the mentioned price.

I already picked a PSU suitable for your future OCing needs, and your future 300$ GPU (as you told me).

I excluded, as usual, monitor and Windows copy from the budget. I put it in USD, I don't know if the change to your currency will make it more expensive (shit happens), but I hope not :)

I stuck at the 600$ budget you gave me on the PM.

Recchi, he is in India. PCPartPicker won't help here, unless he is getting the parts from america. PC parts are also more expensive in India, which is why he can't get an i5 in a $600 build (See www.theitdepot.com for prices.). If he doesn't want the GPU included in that budget it is possible though.

To the OP: I don't recommend AMD for this build, because they have weaker single thread (i.e. single core.) performance on all their CPUs, and although they have more cores most games rely heavily on one core, with those that do rely on more going up to four cores. Anything more than that is a waste, which is why I recommend Intel. Basically, single thread performance is more important than the number of cores, which is why it is better to get an i5, although it is more expensive (It is much stronger single core performance than it's AMD counterpart.).

Soz, I know nothing about India prices and shipping :??: But it might be possible since OP does want to leave the GPU outside of the 600$ budget (told me on a PM). If prices in India are approximately the same as above but in rupees (is this how Inidan currency is written?), it'd be a good deal! Alrthough I repeat, I'm a big ignorant about India's market...and sadly it seems that they have higher prices :/

Ok, then it is completely possible!

To the OP: Could you possibly wait day or two until I compile a new i5 build without the GPU? I can't do it right now, but will have time tomorrow.

There you go. A bit over budget, but drop the SSD if you really can't go over Rs 40k. This build can be support anything up to a GTX 980 Ti when you want to buy a GPU in the future.

Hey !! You Didn't list the Price for The Ram and, if i add the price of the ram, it goes up nearly to 50k.
So, I'll Surely Drop the SSD For Now..
Also, the link for the i5 does not work
AND A QUESTION...Eh !! Will i need things like SMPS ,CPU Cooler, New Cables ,and connecting Plugs Etc for this build ??

Sorry, that was a mistake on my part. Yes, if you can't afford the SSD it is fine to stick with the HDD but aim to buy one as soon as possible since it will make your PC much more responsive.

Here is the link for the CPU: Click Here.

As for any other extra parts, you will obviously need a keyboard, mouse and monitor, along with a video cable such as a DisplayPort, VGA or DVI-D cable to connect the monitor to the PC. I'm not sure if the HDD comes with a SATA cable, so you can order one of those to be safe (Click here to order.).

Also, you will need a copy of windows on a USB to install on the PC, and genuine windows key. Alternatively, you could also install windows from a CD through an external optical drive if you can't download the windows image and flash it to a USB. Click here to buy the windows installation CD and software key.

Other than that, there should be nothing else you will need!

I don't know what SMPS is, but you will need an aftermarket CPU cooler (the stock one isn't enough), sincer you're planning on overclocking.
All the components come with their cables, and yes you'll need to connect all of the components toghether (not fully sure I understand what you mean with "connecting plugs"?).

The 5675C is more expensive than the 6600k, so it isn't worth it since you will be able to build a PC with an i5 6600k for the same money.

SMPS stands for switching mode power supply, which is basically a fancy name for the PSU 😀. Yes, I forgot the OP wanted to overclock, so you will also need an aftermarket CPU cooler before you do so. However, this is not essential immediately as the stock cooler will do the job for the i5 at stock speeds, so you can put off overclocking the CPU until you save up enough money for an aftermarket CPU cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212+.

Is it? Look about the same price in the UK, £6 seperating the two.

At least with the 5675c you can play games at a reasonable level (similar performance to a R7 250) until he can afford a graphics card.

In India, the 6600k is 19.5k, while the 5675C is about 24.5k, in dollars about a $60 difference.

HI, I'm afraid that i won't buy a msi or gigabyte board as my dealer is giving asus motherboard at a high discount (with warranty) and is telling me to go with asus. SO, any ideas about a good asus Motherboard at my budget ???

Well, it depends on what the dealer calls a "high discount". Tell us more, please. If it's a very high discount you can go for an ASUS high end MoBo for the price you were gonna expend on the MSI.
