I am converting my 4TB HDD from MBR to GPT and I have a question.

I am currently MiniTool Partition Manager since I am trying to convert it without losing any data. The thing is I also have my Windows 8.1 install so I am wondering if it will still be possible to boot after converting or am I out of luck? Thanks in advance for the help.

Your out of luck. MiniTool & other similar utilities can only convert non-system disks (ie disks which do not contain an operating system).

This is clearly pointed out on the MiniTool website, bottom of this page:

"Note: MiniTool Partition Wizard can only help users convert the MBR disk which doesn’t include system partition to GPT disk. Otherwise, conversion operations can not be carried out to MBR disk"
