Hey Guys I had this configuration earlier
AMD athlon II X2 250
As rock 960 GCGS FX
nvidia geforce 210
Kingston FURY Memory - 8GB Kit* (2x4GB) - DDR3 1600MHz CL10 DIMM

I upgraded My Psu to a coolermaster one 500W and replced my Gpu to GTX 750Ti
I can now run Games that i couldn't run earlier like arkham knight and rainbow six siege (high settings) But while playing Cs Go and Tf2 i am experiencing lag.It is not always lagging but it lags in like 2-3 minutes interval when lagging my FPS drops to 20ish from 40-50 and ping also increases but there is no other application using internet and my Wifi is off Gpu teamperatures are around 45,My drivers are upto date I hope someone can help me as this is very annoying

the cpu you have is a old amd 2 cores cpu, it is not a powerfull cpu, i have a fx 5350 and a r7 250, the cpu is a bit faster than yours and is 4 cores, the gpu is half of what you have there in terms of cores and slower thanks to the performance of the old cpu

at hd resolution, it gives 70 to 80 fps with sudden dips into the 40s in team fortress 2

the cpu could be a bottleneck here but also there could be a task running in the background, antivirus perhaps?

There is no task running in the background, and the if it was bottleneck why am i able to play games like arkham knight and rainbow six siege and get drops while playing cs go and tf2

Download DDU the display driver uninstaller in order to remove youe graphics card current drivers. Then go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for your Gpu. Make sure that you follow the steps that DDU tells you to do. After the completion of the latest driver's installation, restart your Pc. It might be that your old Gpu is interfering with your recent gpu's drivers and that might cause issues if you didn't make a fresh OS install or if you didn't remove your old Gpu's drivers when you replaced it with the new Gpu.

One more thing, go to task manager>resource monitor and then check your network usage while gaming. Check if there is any application or service that might be using your internet.

I used the task manager and only the game uses the internet and i reformatted the pc so should the old drivers be a problem
