I AM LOCKED OUT MY LAPTOP AND HAVE NO BOOT DISK

A friend of mine set my gateway windows xp laptop up and now it's askin me for live id password and he forgot it. And i don't have a backup cd. It won't go in safe mode or administrstor user. What do i need to do?

You can contct Gateway tech support and see if they have a solution for you.

Forum rules prohibit asking for password help and unlocking devices that have a password lock because we cannot verify ownership and/or identity.

Have your friend help, may just need to re-install Windows. Why can't it start Safe Mode? When the computer boots, it will not ask you for your Live ID, that's only for email and some other Microsoft services, the user/password for windows it not that.
