Question I am looking for a small solar panel with a "USB-A female slot" on the solar panel itself for my outdoor security camera to mount on the house wall.

Hello all,

I am looking for a small solar panel that I can mount on my house wall outside like this one: https://www.eufy.com/products/t8700021?ref=search_result_solar panel&variant=37994716233914

The solar panel is to give my home security camera some extra solar charge. Important: The solar panel must have a "USB-A female slot" on the solar panel itself. Lots of solar panels on the market just have a non-removable built-in cable with a USB-C male port at the end of the cable(THIS IS NOT WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR).

Here are the specific specs I am looking for in priority order for the solar panel:
1. Must have a USB-A female port on the solar panel.
2. Must come with a wall mount so I can easily drill holes and mount it.
3. Must be weatherproof like IP65 or higher.
4. Must be small (Not bigger than the perimeters of a paper folder)
5. Must deliver at least 5W of power to the camera.

Please send me links to quality solar panels that meet my specifications. Thank you.

You asked this question a YEAR ago -- https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...the-middle-and-not-on-the-short-side.3811360/

So that everyone has the background of what has been proposed.

Any reason you don't want to use adapters. I don't think you will find any type-A connectors on an outdoor rated panel, doesn't make much sense, they are not water proof.

Because I tried using converters/adapters/plugging 2 cables together. BUT the problem is that the camera wouldn't charge up to 100% power if I plug in 2 cables as the power-delivery method. It only charges power to 100% with 1 direct line cable.

Size of that panel?

And of course, I don't think we ever got the specific make/model of this camera.

Is this new panel to be a total replacement, or an addition to the existing panel?
This new solar panel will be an addition to the existing panel.
This is the camera. https://www.eufy.com/products/t81601w1?variant=41871171649722

I have also molded the back charging slot of the S330 camera with this expensive weatherproof cable: https://www.l-com.com/usb-waterproof-usb-20-type-c-to-type-a-1m with weather-proofing+electrical tape so i am NOT removing this cable with the USB-A male port at the end.

According to the site, it should only take 2 hours of daylight for a full recharge.

"Tests show that with full exposure to direct sunlight for 2 hours, the camera can keep working for an entire day."

(unless the eufyCam 3 is the wrong thing I'm looking at)

Why is the EUFY add-on solar panel not acceptable? The FAQ -- https://support.eufy.com/s/article/eufy-Solar-Panel-Charger-FAQ says it is compatible.

In any case, I don't think there exists a 3rd party solar panel that meets the very narrow requirements here.

The eufy add on panel (as above) would seem to be the solution.
Although the page for the panel doesn't list the S330as compatible there is a review comment

This solar panel has done exactly what I hoped it would. Although not showing my model in the list of cameras it works with, I called in to see if it would work with my S330 camera and was told it does. That information IS CORRECT. I am very happy since I was able to mount my built in solar panel camera under an eve where the built in solar panel Read more about review stating DELIVERS AS ADVERTISED cannot receive any sunlight. Suggested that EUFY update their website to show the S330 as a matching model.
