Question I attempted to set up a dual boot of Windows 11 and Chrome OS but something went wrong ?

Soooo... I got me an Asus Vivobook with Windows 11 Pro , 40GB RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD.

I recently read how to install Chrome OS on to a partitioned portion of the SSD creating a 2nd drive letter with said OS on it.. all seemed to go well.. then i proceeded to follow the steps to install Grub2Win... that went well... When all was done, I rebooted my computer, expecting to see a Grub Menu.. but NOPE... , nothing, nada.. the system just continued to boot into Windows as usual..

As i started digging deeper trying to determine now if i did something wrong or what had happened.. i finally booted into my BIOS screen and found where my system is setup on and EFI boot..

After messing around in there and saved changes to set the EFI Grub2Win as my menu.. i finally got that menu.. but when i select "Brunch", which is supposed to further the process to look at my ChromeOS partition.. it does nothing.. the system, will then reboot go back to the Grub2Win menu, but still never see's the path to boot into the ChromeOS...

Which now brings me to my main questions:

If i was to revert all changes back to before installing the WSL commands, and before creating the 2nd partition, and before the Grub2Win menu.. what is my best course of action ?

As of now.. I was able to remove the Grub2Win by doing the "bootrec /fixmbr" dos command.

... I still have the Chrome OS partition with Chrome on it... can i just delete or format that partition only ?

... how would i go about removing the Ubuntu features ?

OR.... is there a way to restart my proceedure? because when i do attempt to do so, the system says all files exist and it won't even overwrite anything.

I would like to be able to do a dual boot of Windows 11 and Chrome OS but just not sure that the instructions i followed may have missed a step or two..

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. thanks.

Go online and search for other similar tutorials and "how-to's".

YouTube or otherwise...

Compare all.

Look for some difference(s) in the process and configuration settings being used.

Objective simply being to discover possible errors of omission or commission.

I.e., missed steps, incorrect paths, typos, etc..

And consider broadening the search to dual boots in general....

Hopefully just some detail has caused things to go wrong.

Do be wary of any websites that offer utililties or software to set it all up. Or invoke registry edits and so forth.

Thank You, I will heed your advice. and follow up.

so... I did some digging and found multiple instructions and they all followed the same path.. I attempted to do a second procedural installation following another process.. and I'm running into the same problem.. I feel the hang up in my EFI of my system.. Grub2Win does add the entry, but upon setting it as my priority boot, it never gets to that menu and if i do enter an entry manually by creating a boot entry referring the the EFI looking at Grub... so this way it boots but never getting me into the ChromeOS drive.. Any thoughts?.. also I'm using the BRYA Image with the Latest Brunch file.

The link i followed this time is https://shakeuptech.com/dual-boot-chrome-os-and-windows-10-11/

so, I'm convinced I'm following and doing all the steps correctly but i feel my issue is somewhere in my EFI Boot in Bios... i do have fast boot disabled and security is off. so at this point I'm stumped.

Thanks in advance.

System Specs:
Intel 12 Generation- i3 1215U
40GB Ram
1TB NVME SSD
128gb Graphics
EFI is my Bios Boot Menu

Personally I have been screwed by Windows & Linux boot managers so many times that I now use VM most of the time. I know this hacked Chrome OS can't be run inside a VM so maybe better option is use a fast USB drive/eternal nvme drive with usb 3.x enclosure and install on it.

I have tried Grub / Win2grub / reFIND whatever and never was successful. Now I can't even install 2 versions of Windows on one drive and it always fail. 🙄

Not only did this work like a charm , cleaning up my bootloaders.. but i did end up following another process to re-install chromeos, using Brya image.. and figured out one important step... this last tutorial suggested creating a Brunch folder on the chromeos partition and placing such files there.. and now the grub2win brunch section will look at that brunch folder in the said partition.... and it all works now..,

Ok guys... you've been helping me thus far.. I do however have a puzzling question...

My ChromeOS Drive I partitioned with the Brya Image, is set as 64gigs... and after installing and setting up the OS, it shows me 14 gigs being used.. with an availability of 48gigs. but now.. with my last 3 boots, i get a message from within chrome that my drive space is low and it's critical to make more space... but i've only got 6apps installed along with the OS... is there a way, or what is the best tactic to give the OS more space.. because for some reason.. the 48gigs that the system shows available isn't being utilized.. any suggestions or advice again would be greatly appreciated...
