I opened my MSI laptop for cleaning my heat sink fan but i accidently removed the thermal paste and pad which was applied before i opened my laptop and for now i bought these two products as mentioned in the title so the thermal paste worked but the thermal pad didn't but I noticed something that when i opened my laptop for cleaning the thermal pad which was applied by manufacturer was a little thick and the grizzly thermal thermal pad which i applied is a thin one so i want to buy a thermal pad as thick as it was before so which one should i prefer and also should i but phasesheet PTM thermal pad or the normal ones ???

You're advised to take measurements for the thermal pads before you dispose of them. Any inconsistencies with the thickness of the thermal pad, i.e, using a thin pad in place of a thick one will result in the component heating up and a drop in your overall performance.

You would need a sliding caliper or a ruler to measure the thickness of the thermal pads for your laptop. If you yet have the pads in hand, albeit damaged, you can take their measurements and then order the same off the www.
