I built my pc, its not working and im not sure why?

I finished wiring my pc, im not 100% sure if i placed them correct but i think thats not the problem, when i open the power supply the fan starts for a second but when i click the power button it doesn't start. I believe the problem is that my cpu and motherboard are not compatible ( its stupid i know) but i want ti be sure that nothing was destroyed during the build.

CPU and motherboard are compatible. Make sure to check your mobo's manual to see if you plugged the power switch cable (from the case) in correctly.
