I can only use firefox to access the interet on a mac. Can yew techxperts help meh?

Yes I can. First, it's spelled you, not yew. Then "me" not meh.

Now for your secondary issue. When you open up another browser what message do you get (also what is the name of the browser/browsers that are not working)? Have you tried downloading a third browser and seeing if that can access web pages as well? If not, please try that. Report the results and we may be able to help you.

Safari and Chrome. It cannot connect to the internet or something like that. and ok whatever

Solution:

Use Firefox.

Try updating the other browsers. Copy the network settings in Firefox to Chrome/Safari and see what happens.

Tbh, it's not that bad... you could be stuck with IE for Mac 😀.

Firefox is an excellent browser as amdfangirl points out.

Some things to check:
Firewall
Homepage settings for safari and chrome*if the homepage is set somewhere funny* it may look like you broke the internets.
Parental controls for your account.
