Hello. I decided to upgrade to an SSD, so I cloned my old HDD into the new drive, but I can't boot from it. I tried changing the boot order in the bios but it doesn't work. The SSD shows up in disk manager and I can run programs from it, but I want to use the SSd to boot and wipe the HDD.
If I disconect the HDD drive, it just shows the "please connect proper boot device" message. Is there anything I can do before having to do a clean install in the SSD?

1. Can we assume that if the HDD (your old boot drive) is the ONLY drive connected in the system (the SSD uninstalled or disconnected), the system will boot and function just fine?

2. Assuming that is so, what is the TOTAL data contents of the HDD and what is the disk-space capacity of your SSD? And you might as well tell us the make/model of the SSD.

3. What was the disk-cloning program you used?
