I cant change BF4 resolution please help

Hello guys, apparently for some reason i cant change BF4 resolution, every time i try to lower it from 1080p to like 900/720 it just goes back to 1080p when i resume the game even though i apply and save the settings, i can change other graphics like texture, lighting and stuff but not the resolution, any help is appreciated, thanks in advance

Are you in full screen or windowed or windowless. I think you have to be in full screen to change it. Windowless still has to be in the same resolution at your screen.

i am in fullscreen, also running windows 7 64 bit (in case you needed the info)
